This isolated cannabinoid is helping many maintain their general health and wellness all over the world. With this popularity, people are finding ways to include it in all sorts of edibles and drinkables, with coffee being one of the starting points.

This can be done by either adding a drop of a standard CBD tincture directly into your morning coffee, or by consuming CBD infused coffee beans/grounds. This is deemed a great way to consume both of these substances and simultaneously get your required wake up from coffee and the therapeutic effects of CBD on the body and mind.

Those who consume this combination on a regular basis feel that it is the best of both worlds. The caffeine perks you up while the CBD provides a nice balance, allowing you to remain alert but with a little more calmness to you.

What are the benefits?

Possible benefits of this combination may include:

  • Assisting the body fight off the effects of some long term diseases.

  • Increasing antioxidant levels and essential nutrients in the body.

  • The often much needed boost of energy

  • May reduce the risk of caffeine associated anxiety.

  • May provide a more consistent and slow release of the caffeine.

Are there negatives to this?

There are a few things you may want to consider before starting your days with this combo.

Each individual has a different relationship with cannabis, and the plant treats everyone differently. It will also depend on the mixture you have and the concentrations of each substance you include. It is also not advised to mix THC with caffeine.

Some are also more reserved and stand firm in their belief that CBD requires more research before we can do anything we want with the cannabinoid. Others believe baristas shouldn’t recommend adding CBD to customers’ coffee as it is still largely an unregulated substance in many ways and places. You also don’t always know where the baristas CBD came from and whether it is a credible source.

However, if you want to try CBD coffee, the simplest way to do so would be to source and purchase credible CBD products and add some to your morning coffee. This way you will know you have a reliable CBD product, and can more accurately manage the dose to what you require.
